Banstead, SE9 – Rear Extension, Roof Terrace & Full House Refurbishment

Adam Renovations completed a comprehensive residential refurbishment and rear extension project in Banstead, SE9, transforming the existing property into a modern family home with significantly improved internal and external living space.

The project included construction of a new rear extension together with extensive refurbishment throughout the house. The new addition was designed to increase the usable floor area while creating a stronger connection between the property and the rear garden.

A distinctive elevated roof terrace formed a key architectural feature of the scheme. The terrace incorporated walk-on rooflights, allowing natural light to penetrate the accommodation below while creating valuable usable outdoor space above the extension.

Glass balustrades were installed around the terrace to maintain an open appearance and maximise views from the upper floor. Large sliding doors from the principal bedroom provide direct access onto the terrace, creating a seamless connection between the internal accommodation and the new external living area.

Internally, the property was comprehensively modernised with upgraded layouts, finishes and residential spaces throughout. The refurbishment was coordinated with the structural and extension works to ensure the new and existing elements of the property formed one cohesive finished scheme.
